Driven by deep empathy and a belief in meeting people where they are in their struggles, Gillian's approach is rooted in the principles of Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients regain balance and perspective in their lives. Throughout the process of self-discovery and growth, Gillian is nonjudgmental and encourages clients to explore their thoughts and emotions freely. She believes that collaboration and empowerment in the therapeutic relationship is essential.
Gillian understands the challenges of change and transformation and believes in the resilience of each person and the potential for personal growth, even in the face of adversity. She fosters a safe and supportive environment where clients can openly express themselves. Gillian believes that each person's journey is unique and works with clients to create individualized treatment goals, as well as tailoring specific therapeutic approaches to each client.
Gillian works with individuals over the age of 16, as well as couples. She specializes in anxiety, depression, women's health issues; including perinatal and postpartum concerns, and substance use disorders. Gillian is currently training to become a LAC (Licensed Addictions Counselor).
